Falling Apart

Greetings, everyone. I hope you're having a better week then I am.

The past week for me has been mainly mind-numbing thoughts and experiences. I'm trying to work a few things out and lesses the stress before it kills me and tightens the knot in my stomach even more than it has already done so. I've been losing my appetite as soon as I start eating something even when I feel very hungry and haven't eaten in a while, my stomach has twisted around, and I get bad thoughts in my head that weigh me down.

Anyone ever feel like this? I'm sure you have some point in your life. One moment you're happy or at least feeling decent then the next your head falls in the pits and you feel like crap. Any suggestiong on how to deal with stress or any exercises would be nice.

I would suggest sleeping, but I'm pretty sure that only works for me. I also find that going for a jog, bike ride, a walk, or the equivilent helps.

I've read that exercising helps. Thanks :)

all the time, but the thing tht messes me up the most is my sleeping pattern i have a habit of not goin to sleep till 3/4am then getting up at 7am for college then crashing and sleeping for five hours wen i get home, and it rli wears u down.
excercise is rli good what u basically need to do is something tht relieves ur stress, like reading a book, working on art. basically anything that needs ur full attention
hope this helps :)

That sounds like me for the last seven months or so. I have not dealt well with it, though, so I'm not sure I can really be that much help. Though, as ~slingshot40 said, physical activity should help. Back when I was in PE, if I was pissed/upset/etc, I'd channel that energy into physical activity. I got one of my best mile times that way. ;p Your body also requires a certain amount of sunlight per day and getting more than that (ie, being outside) may help. Being with people also tends to be a good idea. If they're happy and enjoying themselves, their mood could affect yours in a positive way (mine sometimes is affected negatively... I can only stand so many happy, cheery people). Let's see... also setting up a schedule can help (supposedly, but I'm not one for schedules, really, so I haven't tried this). A schedule will help you get enough sleep and make sure you get things done (and doesn't it feel nice when things get done?). If I had the pamphlets my mom got for me on depression, I could get a few more off of there... but I'm at my dad's house right now.

Anyways:

need hardware/software help? want to help others?
I read all of that on the Discovery Health website yesterday. =p but I am feeling better now! :#1: I think the main cause of my stress right now is my relationship. Thanks, hon

I feel tired sometimes so I can't usually read. :giggle: sometimes reading makes me tired and I haven't had much inspiration for many art projects lately. But those are good ideas!! Thanks, sweetie

 I hope you feel better.

The best thing I find that helps is laughing. Find something that makes you laugh real hard and do it. I usually find something on TV like tellie tubbies or power rangers (...*shrug* I find them particularly funny)... simple, good, laughing.

Also, exercise, relaxing, sunlight, and sleep can help.

If there are problems that are causing stress, a good way to get over them is to play a game a little game of b-ball with them. Write the troubles on a piece of paper. Then ball them up and throw them in the trash (to have fun, just try to throw them from different distances).

hope that helps ^^;

I've had this same problem often.
The best thing I've ever been able to do to try and feel better was to listen to some music and just try to relax by doing something I enjoy or something different that I don't do often. :)
Sometimes it helps me to just take a nice hot bath.
